We were privileged to award a very special Army Veteran his Quilt of Honor during a recent local area event.
Tom has been an integral part of our community for many years, earning accolades and awards for his amazing photographic talent and the thousands upon thousands of photos he's taken throughout the years. Those same people he'd taken photos of, turned out in droves to support him at a fundraising event to help assist him during his recovery.

Don't you just love it when the mail lady drops off a wonderful box FULL of Surprises? For those of us 'fabric junkies', fabric donations are just about The Best Surprise we could get - especially when the fabric is Beautiful Patriotic fabrics/colors, ALL nicely folded and tucked into waterproof packaging ...What a Boon for our Volunteers and our Beloved Vets!
Cutting commenced almost immediately, so we would be ready for our Toppers the next time we meet up:
We like to cut fabric into 'chunks' for our AccuQuilt Go! cutter, strips for borders to border-out existing quilt tops - MANY created by our Strip Quilting Diva, Doris, and 2 1/2" strips for strip piecing - leftovers are ultimately used for binding - NOTHING goes to waste!
A few hours later, this generous fabric donation was ALL cut/bagged and ready to be sewn into beautiful Quilts Of Honor for our Combat Veterans for their Service and Sacrifice for our Country.
A BIG Thank YOU to our most recent Fabric Donor, Diana, for her generosity - Donors and other thoughtful souls like her, are what make it possible for us to continue to Honor our Beloved Veterans and Service Members for their Sacrifice and Service for our Country.
