The Mission of Quilts of Honor®: "To bestow a universal symbol and token of thanks, solace, and remembrance to those who serve in harm's way to protect and defend our lives and freedom".
You are invited to help us create and Award Quilts of Honor to our very deserving Service Members and Combat Veterans in our Illiana area. To do this, we need your help.
The following is our 2023 Illiana Quilts of Honor Wish List - Please look it over and choose a level of participation that best suits you. Thank YOU so much for your support of our area Illinois/Indiana Service Members and Combat Vets through Quilts of Honor.
2023 Illiana Quilts of Honor Wish List
- $25 - Three (3) Illiana Quilts of Honor custom embroidered quilt labels
- $35 - Two (2) cones of sewing/quilting thread
- $55 - One (1) Quilts of Honor quilt backing(s)
- $100 - Three (3) quilt battings for three (3) Quilts Of Honor
- $150 - Enough to purchase quilt shop quality fabrics for one (1) Quilt of Honor
- Patriotic fabrics - quilt shop quality in Red/White/Blue/Gold/Silver to create Quilts of Honor
- Patriotic quilt kits in patriotic prints/colors
- Patriotic quilt tops, created according to our National QOH Requirements, that we donate our longarm quilting services to quilt into Quilts of Honor
- UPDATE 12/6/2021 - Due to ALL the incredible work done/donated by our Volunteers recently and the ABUNDANCE of quilt tops they have created - OVER fifty (50)+, the Number #1 item we are in current need of is Quilt Batting! Hobbs 80/20 or Quilter's Dream PolySelect are our preferred batting choices. #2 Quilt item needed is Quilt Backings. Sizing info - Quilters | Quilts Of Honor. ALL donations go towards creating comforting and healing Quilts of Honor for our area Illiana Service Members and Combat Veterans for their Service and Sacrifice for our country.
